C is for Contradiction

C is for Contradiction. A contradiction is a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another.  In classical logic, a contradiction consist of a logical incompatibility between one or more propositions.

I’ve had a lot of positive feedback on my book and Its message. It is extremely exciting to see people support and exercise genuine pride and concern in myself and the books contents. But not everyone is so pleased with me or the book.  Some say that I may be a contradiction to the principles presented in my book.

This was hurtful to hear at first but at second and third and fourth, I’m not so surprised and I’d like to offer more of my perspective.

Truly I am a contradiction.  My income and my domestic situation have never represent well of my capacity and aptitude. Because of my chronic struggle with situation and serial business failures I am the object of many on-looking opinions and prejudices.

I am supposed, presumed, and assumed to be so many negative things as a struggling young Black man that to have a principled perspective and the aptitude to express it creatively is a absolutely a contradiction to each of those proposed assumptions.

Then as an author with the ability to express himself creatively and literally I’m again classified in to a young Black male that is better than a young Black male without this blessing.

I do believe that I am a contradiction to many of the stereo-types, prejudices, and expectations of others judgment.

But I don’t believe that I am a contradiction to many of the principles presented in this great book.

I represent it well, I apply it, and embody its principles as an example.

I encourage others to do as well despite any negative perception of you.
