“Hall of Justice:” Fuck Their System

Injustice happens everyday to people of all colors and backgrounds, not just to Black people and when it makes the news.

The way the Justice system works is to take advantage of the people it is meant to serve.

At any business, retail store, or restaurant, bad service is absolutely unacceptable.
In American courtrooms of law its absolutely accepted and expected.  Read the rest of this entry

The Gritz On… Bill Cosby Allegations

Mark Anthony Howard “The Gritz” | Opinion

Bill_cosby_1969I apologize to women that may have been in any way sexually abused, for what may convey as any of my own insensitivity.

But I also apologize to women that may have been sexually abused, for the women and media that have used such a horrific experience as leverage for their own personal gain towards relevancy.

As many of the columnist whom have chimed in on the scorching topic of Bill Cosby and the 16 claims of drugging and sexual assault; I do not know Mr. Bill Cosby personally and have no clue if these claims are legitimate or completely false.

My opinion only concerns the fact that these claims are ten, twenty, and thirty years seasoned and lack a moral message.

The Gritz on… Mike Brown

I have to state how much I resent having or giving opinions on “pop news” as I call it. So my opinion is based around the resentment that peoples lives and dire situations can become a channel of entertainment news to be considered as current events for people who have no relative relationship nor sincere interest in the subject being illicited by media.

So with that as my disclaimer and respect to Mike and his family… I think that Mike Brown and his unjustified murder by Ferguson Police department is being exploited beyond any sincere concern for Mike Brown and his family’s situation.

I believe classism is much more predominant of a vice in our society and it systematically uses rascism as a irrelevant front to distract it’s victims into perpetuating itself further.

I think that Mike Brown is surely a victim of one man’s rascism that maybe shared by many others within Policing Departments throughout America; But I think Mike Brown has come to represent a much larger victimization of the poor and working class.

I don’t believe the truest issue represented by the death of Michael Brown is rascism in America at all. I resent and find disappointment in the illusion that it is. Classism is what enables Police departments,Government legislation, and the Judicial system to ensure Mike Brown will continue to happen again and again in America with consequence.

And that’s what should be inspiring outrage…. Not racism.

Omar’s Wireless in Rialto burned down

Last night between 4-5 am a fire was initiated at Omar’s Wireless on foothill and Meridian in Rialto.

By 6 pm the wireless services store was completely burned down. And by 11 its was being reported on abc7.

Owned and operated by Omar himself and his nephew, the wireless store was much more than a regular store for the Rialto community.

Over the years the wireless store has simply become known as “Omar’s.”

“Omar’s,”Referring to him personally, because if you ever had any type of wireless issue, concern, or wish from barter to trade, sale or purchase, you could be confident that Omar got you.

I drove by the store today for a personal look at the news I had heard.  Rialto Police, caution-tape, abc 7 news cameras, and about 50 on lookers surrounded the store.

The store was toast and smelled liked gas vapors. Omar looked so sad as spoke to Rialto arson and police detectives.

As he caught a break in questioning to smoke a cigarette by woodys bbq. I gave em dap, shook my head, and told him to hold his head as he shook it disgustly.

As a Rialto native and community member Omars store burning felt  kind of personal because I know the dude. Everybody knows the dude.  Hell help anybody and everybody without a lot of the wireless hassle, bullshit, and overpricing you get from other stores.

Omars is in a thuggy part of Rialto so I’ve seen him thug it out with any thug, hood, loud-mouth that provoke him. But he definitely a good dude.

That’s fucked up that someone may have burnt his shit down and its fucked up if it may have burnt on its own because in either event “Omars” is burnt down.

I expect fights, arguments, and craziness, and some mild rickety to go on in Omars but I never expected his shit to burn down.

So just as a positive affirmation amidst all the negativity that may circle Omars and his businesses reputation I’d like to acknowledge Omar personally along with his store as an iconic figure and landmark in Rialto city.

Hold your head Omar. My sympathy and my respect.

Immigration At your Own Risk | by Mark Anthony Howard

Immigration At your Own Risk | Mark Anthony Howard

If 11 people moved into a single story house, some serious rules and regulation would be in order. Wouldn’t it?

The US Congress doesn’t think so.

The US census bureau reports 11 million undocumented immigrants live in the United States and “The House” (Congress) has made no laws concerning it.

Each of these undocumented persons has immigrated into America under outdated and unfair immigration laws— subject to each states own discernment.

Drug Agents Use Vast Phone Trove, Eclipsing N.S.A.’s

By and

Published: September 1, 2013
  • For at least six years, law enforcement officials working on a counternarcotics program have had routine access, using subpoenas, to an enormous AT&T database that contains the records of decades of Americans’ phone calls — parallel to but covering a far longer time than the National Security Agency’s hotly disputed collection of phone call logs.

Jameel Jaffer of the A.C.L.U. says a slide presentation on the Hemisphere Project raises “profound privacy concerns.”

The Hemisphere Project, a partnership between federal and local drug officials and AT&T that has not previously been reported, involves an extremely close association between the government and the telecommunications giant.

The government pays AT&T to place its employees in drug-fighting units around the country. Those employees sit alongside Drug Enforcement Administration agents and local detectives and supply them with the phone data from as far back as 1987. Read the rest of this entry

The Gritz on…. Gun Control

An objective opinion– not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts and unbiased!

Gun control

By Mark Anthony Howard (The Gritz)

Gun control is at the fore-front of every political campaign, and the fore-issues on the America agenda across the county. The issue has spread as a wild fire in the realms of American forum. But what is Gun Control exactly? And why do we need it? Gun Control is any law, policy, practice, or proposal designed to restrict or limit the possession, production, importation, shipment, sale, and/or use of guns or other firearms by private citizens among others.

Gun Control Laws and policy vary greatly around the world. Some countries, such as the United Kingdom, have very strict limits on gun possession while others, such as the United States, have relatively modest limits. The debate grows on the role of federal law their responsibility in the adapting of legislature to limit and moderate the sale and purchase of guns, gun types, and ammunition. The topic also remains a source of intense debate with proponents generally arguing the dangers of widespread gun ownership, and opponents generally arguing individual rights of self-protection and individual liberties such as the second amendment. The Gritz on… “The Meanings of a Word” by Gloria Naylor

This is my reflection Journal for my English Class based on the text “The Meanings of a Word” by Gloria Gaynor

I truly hated reading this story and was completely irritated by it. I was highly offended by the reading and the discussion of it in the class. I thought the account was completely false and destructive for black people. As a black person I have never called another black person the word nigger in my life.  I thought it was unfair for the writer to volunteer this as a statement for all black people. There is a great difference between the WORD “nigger” and the expression “nigga.” I was uncomfortable with the use of the word and most of all I was I was uncomfortable with how comfortable my classmates and my professor where with using the word nigger. As if it was a relevant word in a relevant text.

RIALTO: Coach who was shot may face criminal charges

San Bernardino police are preparing to submit a criminal complaint to prosecutors against a Rialto basketball coach who says he was shot on his way to a park bathroom.

San Bernardino Police Chief Robert Handy said Friday that detectives plan to submit a case against Eisenhower basketball coach Steve Johnson to the San Bernardino County district attorney’s office. Police are conducting a separate investigation into the shooting.

Since the shooting, Handy said detectives have learned information, independent of Johnson, about what he was doing at the park.

Handy said Johnson may have involved in potential criminal behavior, but declined to elaborate.

Papa Joe dies at 85

Paterno legacy damaged by scandal, but not erased

Dan Wetzel

By Dan Wetzel,

Truly great leaders are measured by the lives they reached, the people they motivated and the legacy of their lesson that can extend for years to come, like ripples from a skipped stone across an endless lake.

For Joe Paterno, the impact is incalculable, the people he connected with extending far beyond the players he coached for 62 years at Penn State, the last 46 as head football coach. Paterno always tried to be the giant who walked among the everyman both in the school’s greatest moments and, it turns out, in its worst.

Joe Paterno died Sunday at a State College, Pa., hospital. He was 85.

This is a complicated passing. What was once the most consistent and basic of messages – honor, ethics and education – seemingly lived out as close to its ideal as possible was rocked Nov. 5, 2011, when a grand jury indicted Paterno’s former defensive coordinator, Jerry Sandusky, of multiple counts of sexual abuse of children.

Many, including Penn State’s Board of Trustees, believed Paterno could have and should have done more to stop Sandusky, especially after allegations of misconduct arose in 2002. Within days Paterno was fired from the program and school to which he’d become synonymous.

Now, a little more than two months later, he’s gone for good, a bitter, brutal ending for an American original.

He was the winningest college football coach of all time, compiling a 409-136-3 record. He won national titles in 1982 and 1986 and recorded four other undefeated seasons, including consecutively in 1968 and 1969.

He was a bridge from a simpler time to the cutthroat business college football has become, somehow serving as both a progressive force (he believed in players’ rights, a playoff system and welcomed advancements in television) and a stubborn traditionalist (the Penn State uniforms remained basic, he never learned how to send a text message and he still used old-school discipline).

Apple CEO “Steve Jobs” has died

Sad news: Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs has died

Steven Paul “Steve” Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American computer entrepreneur and innovator. He was co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc

On October 5, 2011, Jobs’ family made a statement that he “died peacefully today”.[ Apple released a separate statement saying that Jobs had died. The statement read: “We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today. Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.”

Also on October 5, 2011, Apple’s corporate website greeted visitors with a simple page showing Jobs’ name and lifespan next to his greyscale portrait. Clicking on Jobs’ image led to an obituary that read “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.” An email address was also posted for the public to share their memories, condolences, and thoughts.

Jobs is survived by his wife, Laurene, to whom he was married for 20 years; their three children, Reed (born 1991), Erin (born 1995), and Eve (born 1998); and a fourth child, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, from a previous relationship.[150]

The man was a true Genius and one of the most remarkable entrepreneurs and inspirational leaders in history.

RIP Steve Jobs.
